Prepping For Admissions Tests
In this episode we talked extensively about the differences between the ACT and SAT tests. We also discussed how there is no magic formula relative to what test prep strategies work for students because every student and situation is different. We discussed how a student who is well read can expect to do better on each of the tests since reading is such an important concept and strong readers typically receive higher scores. Also discussed was the importance of parents taking advantage of test prep services because it is an investment in the future of their students and great scores can open doors to scholarships and the score itself is a predictor of academic success in higher education. We also discussed the test optional phenomenon that is going on today and how the decision to submit test optional can reflect on the student.
